Hey, you thought I forgot?

Nope. I just decided July + August could share the spotlight because apparently keeping up with monthly recaps was not on my summer agenda 😂☀️

So here’s a little dump of how the rest of my summer went - so many important milestones !

There is this beautiful moth taking shape slowly on my desk in the past months (I know..) and while I don't share much work in progress, this is here so that it holds me accountable to actually finish it. It's supposed to match and keep company to the "Sleeping Butterfly" artwork next door.

I've been a little stuck in the process, I don't really know how to continue it so that I don't ruin it, and this is the wrong kind of thinking which I am trying to avoid. Less planning, more fun 🦋

“Bug is Blue” has opened a whole universe of ideas… and you know how easily I drift into shades of blue 💙
Time didn’t quite allow me to explore it all, so I wandered back into my archive — where I found a quiet collection of blue bugs.
This one… is my favourite: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒖𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒍𝒚, soon to have a night brother (that is still wip at the moment 🤭)

𝑩𝒖𝒈 𝒊𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒛𝒚, because he is always hiding, carving a cozy nest and enjoying my tomatoes or whatever I try to grow. Or a quince / nectarine in case of this drawing. Funny thing, one actually eat on it as I was taking this snapshot, but I didn't manage to catch it on camera.
