Plums 💜— at the very heart of Romanian culture, turned into all sorts of delicious potions (such as țuică) and intricate desserts, they’re part of a ritual that autumns serves every year.

Spot illustrations originally featured in the book "Recipes from a Transylvanian Village" by Haan Palcu Chang.

A few weeks ago, I was invited to create a test illustration for the prestigious The Lancet Oncology medical journal.

Needless to say, I was incredibly happy, just being invited was already a big deal for me. I wasn’t chosen as their 2027 cover artist in the end, but it was still an amazing opportunity. I learned a lot throughout the process, and it definitely pushed me out of my usual box and into a completely different kind of visual thinking.

The topic was challenging, but I genuinely loved trying to solve this visual puzzle:

“Genome-directed treatment targets and mutational signature biomarkers: a retrospective pan-solid tumour analysis”

In this paper, the authors analysed around 17,000 whole genome sequenced primary and metastatic solid tumours, looking at driver events and different mutational features — including substitutions, indels, structural variations and copy number patterns — to explore how existing and emerging genotype-matched targeted therapies could potentially be applied across different cancer types.

Congratulations to the winner and to all the other participants! 💙

It's apple season, also known as autumn 🍁 in my version, you could consider this tree half full half empty, or simply being allowed to see past its transparent crown of jewels

It feels hard to come back to a routine here, simply because there is too much happening at the moment -the silence reflects quite the opposite. I guess that is a good thing?

Anyways, I hope you are enjoying the transition of seasons, this is definetly my favourite time of the year

Come meet me & my art this fall at the lovely locations below! 👇 Swipe through the slides for all the dates, details & opening times. 📅

I’d absolutely LOVE to see some familiar (and new!) faces, have a little chat, and say hello in real life 🥰

If you are looking for something specific, a particular print, artwork, or maybe that one piece you’ve been secretly eyeing,
send me a message before the event and I’ll do my best to bring it along especially for you 🎁 otherwise I'll have originals and fine art prints in giclée quality, signed and ready packed to be gifted as always !

So… save the dates, swipe away, and come say hi!
I’ll be the one surrounded by way too much art and probably talking about paint 💙

Hey, you thought I forgot?

Nope. I just decided July + August could share the spotlight because apparently keeping up with monthly recaps was not on my summer agenda 😂☀️

So here’s a little dump of how the rest of my summer went - so many important milestones !
How was YOURs ? What was meaningful to you? What made you happy, surprised you, challenged you, or made you think “well… that happened”? 😂

this is here to remind you to enjoy at max the last weekend of this summer ! (I can't believe I am writing this myself)

"Watermelon Pool Party"
available as a fine art print 🍉 to never miss summer again

There is this beautiful moth taking shape slowly on my desk in the past months (I know..) and while I don't share much work in progress, this is here so that it holds me accountable to actually finish it. It's supposed to match and keep company to the "Sleeping Butterfly" artwork next door.

I've been a little stuck in the process, I don't really know how to continue it so that I don't ruin it, and this is the wrong kind of thinking which I am trying to avoid. Less planning, more fun 🦋

“Bug is Blue” has opened a whole universe of ideas… and you know how easily I drift into shades of blue 💙
Time didn’t quite allow me to explore it all, so I wandered back into my archive — where I found a quiet collection of blue bugs.
This one… is my favourite: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒖𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒍𝒚, soon to have a night brother (that is still wip at the moment 🤭)

I am overjoyed to finally share one part of this lovely editorial commission I had the pleasure to work on at the beginning of the year (have a look on the grid to see it in full)

I invite you to read the article written by Rachel Desiree Felix in the latest issue no.10 of 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄, an open-access online publication which publishes writing with an impact.

Thank you Pauline & Haley for the wonderful collaboration
